You will continue to run around in circles if we don’t plan out ways and strategies to go about our goals.
Jump at every slightest opportunity that opens up to maximize the time and apply our hearts to wisdom.
The world is in a negative flow, if we’re not watchful, we shall drown with it. But purpose is the only driver to limitless possibilities.
YOU will stop where you stopped yourself.
It’s easy to stop when you begin to feel a sense of satisfaction and happy with the little we probably have done, presumptuous accomplishments. I for one, I didn’t make any monetary gains, but I felt some high level accomplishment – not visible to the eyes because it’s not in any form of substance, say: money, materials or a building. For I do not measure success or accomplishment by the same calibration other do.
Success is not a destination, it’s a journey of continuity where one victory succeeds another. Don’t be satisfied with average, it will only retard you. And don’t you come to a xertain juncture and assume, “I’ve reacher to the place of my destination. For destiny only ends when your breath ceases. So, continue to conquer and teach others to conquer until you’re no more – that’s true vidtory, everyone conquering with us.
At a certain point in my journey of life, I was happy, and prided myself in the things I thought I had, the people I thought I knew, my presumed wonderful abilities, the knowledge I thought I had acquired, the friends I had and was making. Life to me, at that point, seemed to be at its precipice, smooth-sailing, and at its thresholds.
When Tragedy Strikes:
I presupposed already that I was an accomplished man. But then, tragedy stroke. For your information, sooner or later, almost everyone is hitby some type of tragedy. That also includes those who seem to have everything.
We understand in Scripture, Ecclesiastes 9:11,
“The swift do not always win the race, nor do the mighty win the battle, nor do the wise always have the food, nor do the intelligent always have the riches, nor do those with knowledge always have success, because time and unexpected events overtake them all.”
The many question that wreak the mind, then, is not whether you will face adversity but how you will react when you do. For instance:
What if you lost all your possessions in a natural disaster?
What if you were diagnosed with a life-threatening illness?
What if you lost a loved one in death?
I believe that the Bible can help you not only to cope when tragedy strikes but also to have a solid basis for hope. (Romans 15:4) Consider three experiences that illustrate how.
There’s a general notion in the minds of people that when someone is going through troubled times, the conclusion is, “Finally, his sins have caught up with him.” Well, you have the right to your perspective and judgment about everything. And how I wish that you’re so right about it.
Two nights ago, I read the creative thoughts of a child and servant of God, Mr. Debo Joseph Abolade. I have never met with Debo, a friend, and father, someone I have great respect for, a Church Elder, Mr. Paul Hubert spoke to me about Debo and suggested I should take a look at Debo’s page on Facebook. It was in that process that I came across this message on Debo’s wall and that jiggled my thoughts a great deal. He said, “The world is dying, and the Church is sinking. Healthy Christians or people must strive to swim to the rescue of others before we all sink and drown into a Christless eternity.” even though paraphrased, these words hit me as hammer following my experience through life.
I had also shared a thought I’ve nurtured in my mind for very long that says, “The world is in a negative motion, and everything isdrowning with it. If we’re not careful we will slide with it.” This is a sentiment that reflects a common concern about the state of the world and the need for everyone to be vigilant to avoid being pulled down by negative forces.
My eyes opened wide in amazement when I read detailed analysis of how much money Billionaire businessman, Jeff Bezos makes per day, it shocked me to my bones how much riches this man has accumulated over time and how much he still making. Jeff Bezos’ share of 2023 profits by company is:
Per second $985
Per minute $59,100
Per hour $3,546,000
Per day $85,104,000
Per week $595,728,000
How did people come to making so much money? It’s ridiculous, right?
What’s the use of money?
We understand that money answereth everything. It solves problems that require the use of money. When people make so much money, they should have a purpose why they’re making that kind of money. While some make money to answer or solve the problems of life, some make the money to create problems for life.
So, in life, you’re either a solution or part of the problems the world is experiencing. I have heard people say, “If you want problems, I can give you enough problems that you will pray you never have to face.” Well, I so wish you could think better and do things differently.
The Church is busy competing, trying to copy the world, and all its shenanigans. I bet you, we will all drown in it. The Church competes for membership, beauty of edifices, class and oratory; It’s forgetting its true and real mission to the world – rescue it. Rather, the Church has joined with the dying world abounding in those things it considers relevant to keep flourishing in its relished evil.
We must return to our first love, our mission from God to the world and for the world – rescue the perishing. Daily, I come to the understanding that life is nothing outside purpose and a mission to do something right that impacts the world positively. And while it’s okay to look good, okay to be modern and enjoy the fruits of our hard work and labors, it is more important that while we do all of these, we’re also conscious of the fact that we have been saved to save others – that’s the mission and mission for all believers, whether you are a missionary, pastor, an apostle, an evangelist or not; it is a job for every child of God – “Wise is he who wins a soul.” Proverbs 11:30 says, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”
What is the fruit of the righteous?
The fruit of righteousness includes: salvation, mercy, grace, forgiveness of sin, peace that passes understanding, joy unspeakable and full of glory, eternal life and an abundant purpose-filled life. Some Bible translations opines, “Whoever wins souls is wise.” The picture is a life that so emanates the righteousness of God, the goodness of God, the grace of God, the kindness of God in a way that causes souls, the depth of people around you to be drawn to God and not to just impress the world with the array or fleets of cars in your collection, the number of estates you own and the people under your remote control – that’s a mere show of power.
The true show of power is in our ability to put under control every negative trend that’s gradually sweeping into our world and making it difficult for Christians to survive in it. And sadly, it is evil that is succeeding and thriving over good all around the world because those of us who should be shining out the light of truth aren’t doing it because we’re lost in our desires to swim and dine in the trend.
Rescue The Perishing:
The world believes, “Death is the end of life, that it’s an event we head towards all our life until it ends.” But little do they know that you can die infinite times before the physical death which is rather a salvation from the earthly struggles than an end.
Would we perish alongside the world rather than work to rescue the world from the destruction awaiting it?
Of course not, we know better to do our bids as Christians, turn things around for the kingdom than dine with these swarming evil eating up the world.
Daily, we are at war against forces that seeks to stop us. To win this war would mean that we don’t go to sleep at any point in time, we must constantly fight to dislodge and destabilize our opponents.
We must also be wise in choosing our battles so that we don’t have to confront or fight everyone or everything that appears as opposition because some opposition are actually allies in disguise.
Fight your enemies using their strategies, except if you have mastered the strategy. You must engage them on your own strategy.
I learned this kesson very recently. In every family, there is a child whose mindset is different from the rest of that family and that child could anyone who chooses to see life in a new perspective. You must study to know yourself, to understand what stuff you’re made of, know your capabilities to change the course of history.
When you turn to be that child, most people will misunderstand you, even your family members will because they expect to see the usual trends, the lifestyle they’ve considered common or relative of your blood line, the usuals, “Used-to-be or used-to-know” with our family but then you don’t appear to think like everyone else of your bloodline and they wonder, “Why is it so?
Isn’t he/she a part of that family?
Why does he or she act differently? And they go to work to pluck off your wings to stop us and see how else we would or could fly again.
But why?
Isn’t the sky is so vast? It is wide enough to take all the STARS we want to put up there.
Why fight one another down here for more space when we know that the sky is only the beginning point of our rising, not our limit.
Confound the world that seeks to limit you, trust in the one who made you and puts unlimited capabilities in you, you’re your own limitations. So, we can and must go to work to break every jinx and ancestral curse working against us from standing out with the others making headlines.
Good luck and God bless!
